31DC2013 - Day 15: Delicate Print

I'm not so happy with this design. I really wanted to freehand something cool like this but I didn't have much time and I just couldn't get it to work...
I ended up setteling for a stamping manicure. My base color is 2 coats of Essie Skirting The Issue and the stamping color is China Glaze Passion. I stamped the floral image from bundle monster 314.

31DC2013 - Day 14: Flowers

Today I went with a design that I usually paint over a french manicure, but today I felt like wearing it on it's own.

I started with 2 coats of Careline #366 (a very sheer pink with a jelly finish) and then dotted the flowers using 5 colors: Chic Black Fog #32 (black), Ga-de Lemon Lime #426 (yellow), WOW #303 (green), Essie Too Too Hot (red) and China Glaze Something Sweet (pink).

After I finished with the flowers I went back with 2 more cots of the sheer pink, and then applied my fast drying topcoat (Poshe).

31DC2013 - Day 13: Glossy Leopard Print With A Touch of Texture

So today's theme is animal print and I'm pretty sure most of the participants are going to do leopard print nails but I don't mind. This is such a pretty look and it's been a long time since I last wore it on my nails so this is a great opportunity.

I decided to combine regular nail polishes with textured polishes and this is what I came up with.

For my glossy nails I went with a base of China Glaze Something Sweet. The spots were made using A-England Holy Grail and I framed them using Maybelline Mini Colorama #52 Dark Plum.

For the textured accent nail I started with a base of Chic 12 - a cute baby pink from the new Sugar Baby collection, that has the slightest blue shimmer in it. I bought it because I've been looking for a dupe to the beautiful Kiko 634 so I was a little disappointed when I first swatched it and saw it had the shimmer, but on the nail the shimmer is barely noticeable and the color is perfect!
I used L.A Girl Sand of Time for my spots, and framed them with Chic 04.

I'll try to swatch my new Chic polishes in the next few days so stay tuned for that if you are interested. Natalie from NailzCraze already swatched some of them so you can go check out her blog too.

31DC2013 - Day 12: Stripes

I went with a really simple design for today's challenge: 1 coat of Revlon Surf, followed by striping tape and 1 coat of L.A Girl Teal Dimension. Both polishes are a dark teal but in the pictures they look a little blue.

31DC2013 - Day 11: Polka Dots

For today's challenge I started with 2 coats of the beautiful Essie Lilachism. The dots were done with a dotting tool and Life #237.
I was going to do this for all my nails and add a matte topcoat but I loved the minimalist effect and decided to keep it like this.

Hope you lked the look as much as I do :)

31DC2013 - Day 10: Pastel Gradient Skittle

I love Gradients! They are a bit time consuming but the final result is so pretty :)
I chose to do a pastel gradient using 5 pastel colors I had (well, actually I don't have  pastel yellow so I mixed a regular yellow with some white polish)

Polishes used, from left to right:
China Glaze Something Sweet (middle & pinkie)
Essie Lilachism (thumb & ring)
MUA Pistachio Ice Cream
Milani White on the spot (base color for all nails)
Ga-de Blue Wish #392 (index & ring)
Ga-de Lemon Lime #426 mixed with white (thumb & middle)

31DC2013 - Day 9: Rainbow Nails

So yesterday I said I hate metallic polishes, but boy was I quick to judge...  I thought I'd remove my metallic skittle manicure a few hours after applying it but I just fell in love with the design and didn't want to take it off!!! I guess if you wear it right, metallic polish is actually pretty cool :)

For today's manicure I went with the same colors from Kiko's Mirror Metallics collection as I did yesterday (619 Red Peony, 623 Blue, 625 emerald, 626 Lawn Green, 627 Lime Green). I painted random blobs of color on my nails and after they have dried I applied striping tape and painted my nails with 1 thick coat of Milani Black Swift.

I loooove the result and I got lots of compliments on it today!
Hope you enjoyed it too :)
