31DC2013 - Day 31: Honor nails you love

Lat day of the challenge! I can't believe I actually managed to get it done :)

Today's assignment was honoring nails we love, so it was really easy for me to decide what I wanted to do. Ever since I saw this manicure over at Colores de Carol I've been dreaming of getting Kiko 634, just so I could recreate this gorgeous look that Carolina showed on her blog.
I don't really like textured nail polishes, but this pretty baby pink imminently won me over. 2 of my friends were recently in Spain and I sent them both to search for it, but apparently it's no longer in stock :-(

Luckily enough, the Israeli brand Chic have a new Sugar Baby collection, and although this color isn't the perfect dupe, it's pretty darn close, and I just love it!!!

For this look I've used 2 coats of Chic Sugar Baby #12, and added dots with Milani Black Swift. I love how glossy the black polish looks over the textured pink. On my ring finger I have 1 coat of Milani Black Swift.

I tried finding something to resemble the cute bow on Carolina's ring finger, and today at the art supply store I found the cutest little white plastic hearts. I added a little dot with China Glaze Something Sweet and stuck in onto the black nail polish while it was still wet.

31DC2013 - Day 11: Polka Dots

For today's challenge I started with 2 coats of the beautiful Essie Lilachism. The dots were done with a dotting tool and Life #237.
I was going to do this for all my nails and add a matte topcoat but I loved the minimalist effect and decided to keep it like this.

Hope you lked the look as much as I do :)

Fun With Dots And Stripes

I started this manicure with 2 coats of Essie Sand Tropez - my favorite nude color. As you can see in the picture, I'm almost half way through the bottle, because I use this color a lot.
I added 8 dots in different colors, trying to arrange them by the order of colors in a rainbow.
I used Essie No More Film in the center of my middle finger, and then added stripes using black & white striper polishes.
