31DC2013 - Day 8: Metallic Nails

I'll start by saying I don't like metallic nail polish. I own a lot of it because I love using it for stamping, but I almost never wear it on it's own. I thought I'd do a stamping manicure for today using some of my metallic nail polishes but I felt like it would be cheating, and I've already cheated enough during the first week of this challenge...

A few weeks ago my friend got back from Barcelona and got me 5 amazing nail polishes from Kiko's Mirror Metallic collection. I asked her to get them for me because I've herd they were great for stamping, but today I decided to wear them on their own. The formula was really great. Some were streakier than others, but that is to be expected in metallic polishes, and they dried very quickly.

I felt like they needed a little something extra so I stamped the zebra print fro my m57 fauxnad plate using wow #393 (black cream).

I took some pictures of the bottles and swatches of the colors. they are all opaque in 1 coat but some of them are a bit streaky so I applied 2 coats and no topcoat.

From left to right / from pinkie to thumb:

627 Lime Green
625 emerald
623 Blue
619 Red Peony
626 Lawn Green 

Skittle Manicure With Zoya Blaze

This is the beautiful Zoya Blaze (2 coats, though it's pretty opaque after the first coat), stamped with China Glaze Passion, using 2 different images from fauxned plate m78. On my ring finger I have Nyx Gilded Glitter but you can't really see it on the pictures. It's quite gorgeous in real life :) I love this combination!

היום אני עם Zoya Blaze היפהפה (2 שכבות, למרות שהוא די אטום כבר בשכבה הראשונה). מעליו החתמתי עם Passion של צ'יינה גלייז, בעזרת הדסקה m78 (חיקוי קונאד). על הקמיצה מרחתי שכבה אחת של Nyx Gilded Glitter אבל לא כל כך רואים את זה בתמונה. במציאות זה ממש מוסיף ללק:) אני מאוד אוהבת את השילוב הזה! 

 

Stamping Manicures W/ China Glaze Romantique

It's been so long since I've updated the blog...

The past few weeks have been pretty crazy, tons of exams and a lot of pressure

The exams aren't over yet but I've already finished half of them and things are starting to look bright again, so I hope I'll be back to posting very soon :)

Today I wanted to show you some stamping manicures I did with my new China Glaze polishes from The Romantique collection. I heard these were opaque in one coat and amazing for stamping so I bought 3 colors that seemed useful, and I might get more of these in the future 'cause the ones I got are really great!

היו לי שבועיים די מטורפים עם המון מבחנים ולא כל כך היה לי זמן לעדכן את הבלוג

תקופת הבחינות עדיין לא נגמרה אבל מתחילים לראות את האור בקצה המנהרה ואני מקווה לשוב ולפרסם פה בתדירות יותר גבוהה בקרוב מאוד :)

בינתיים הנה כמה עיצובים שעשיתי בזמן האחרון עם שלישיית הלקים שקניתי מקולקציית Romantique של צ'יינה גלייז. כל הלקים בקולקציה הזו אטומים בשכבה אחת, ולכן הם מעולים להחתמות

בחרתי לי שלושה גוונים שנראו לי שימושיים ואולי בעתיד אני אקנה עוד כמה, כי הם פשוט נפלאים!
