Umbrella Nails // LAKA One on One

Poshe.

Kiko 389 (Mint Milk) + Innisfree 121

This is another cute look that I've had on my nails for a few days during the exams, since I didn't have time for actual nailart but I still wanted something fun and interesting on my nails.

I applied 2 coats of Kiko 389 Mint Milk and 3 coats of Innisfree 121 - a Korean glitter that I bought from Natalie. It's a milky white base with matte hex glitters and tons of metallic glitter in different shapes and sizes. Look how pretty it is:

My Halloween / Día de los Muertos Sugar Skulls Skittle Manicure

I've been wanting to do a design like this for a very long time. Last week I saw Tal Peleg's amazing creation on Phoenix Black's face , and decided it's the perfect time to finally try it out.

I started with 2 coats of each polish. The white is life 237, the coral is butter LONDON Trout Pout and the turquoise is Kiko 389 that has been on my wishlist for a really long time, and luckily enough a friend that recently visited Barcelona got it for me.

There are many tutorials online for this look, and I chose this simple one by cutepolish, and used 2 sized dotting tools for it. I added Ga-de Leomon Lime and China Glaze Something Sweet, along with the coral and the turquoise, for the decorations around the eyes. The black is Wow #393.

Of coarse this didn't come out as perfect as what Tal&Tal did, nor does it look as flawless as Pshiiit's version, but I got many compliments on this, and one person even recognized the sugar skull theme (not something I'd expect here in Israel)

Also, I just have to show you the great rings I purchased from asos.  Aren't they beautiful?

Simple Stamping with Bundle Monster 404

Yesterday I showed you my new stamping plates from Bundle Monster, and today I have a new design (after the previous one somehow peeled off). I chose to use plate 404, and created this simple look. I used 1 coat of Milani Black Swift as the base color on 3 fingers, and 1 coat of Kiko 619 Red Peony on the remaining 2. I stamped two images from the plate using Kiko 619 & WOW 363.

I have a video tutorial coming up for this look, but it's in Hebrew this time...

31DC2013 - Day 29: Inspired by the Supernatural

Today's theme is haunted house at night time! The base color is 2 coats of wow #434 - a beautiful dark blue with teal and blue glitter. On top of that I've stamped some images from Bundle Monster 2012: The haunted house is from bm 305 and so is the grass. The moon is from bm 316, and the stars are from bm 311.
The stamping polishes are: Milani White on the Spot (white), China Glaze Passion (gold) and Kiko 627 (lime green).

I really really love how this came out and I'm so happy because lately I've been very uninspired. Only 2 more days to go and I already have ideas for my final manicures. Hope they turn out ok... :)

31DC2013 - Day 27: Inspired by Art

I was running really late and had no time to come up with something original so my inspiration for today was this:

I used 1 coat of Essie No More Film and stamped an image from Bundle Monster using Kiko 623 (metallic blue)

31DC2013 - Day 9: Rainbow Nails

So yesterday I said I hate metallic polishes, but boy was I quick to judge...  I thought I'd remove my metallic skittle manicure a few hours after applying it but I just fell in love with the design and didn't want to take it off!!! I guess if you wear it right, metallic polish is actually pretty cool :)

For today's manicure I went with the same colors from Kiko's Mirror Metallics collection as I did yesterday (619 Red Peony, 623 Blue, 625 emerald, 626 Lawn Green, 627 Lime Green). I painted random blobs of color on my nails and after they have dried I applied striping tape and painted my nails with 1 thick coat of Milani Black Swift.

I loooove the result and I got lots of compliments on it today!
Hope you enjoyed it too :)

31DC2013 - Day 8: Metallic Nails

I'll start by saying I don't like metallic nail polish. I own a lot of it because I love using it for stamping, but I almost never wear it on it's own. I thought I'd do a stamping manicure for today using some of my metallic nail polishes but I felt like it would be cheating, and I've already cheated enough during the first week of this challenge...

A few weeks ago my friend got back from Barcelona and got me 5 amazing nail polishes from Kiko's Mirror Metallic collection. I asked her to get them for me because I've herd they were great for stamping, but today I decided to wear them on their own. The formula was really great. Some were streakier than others, but that is to be expected in metallic polishes, and they dried very quickly.

I felt like they needed a little something extra so I stamped the zebra print fro my m57 fauxnad plate using wow #393 (black cream).

I took some pictures of the bottles and swatches of the colors. they are all opaque in 1 coat but some of them are a bit streaky so I applied 2 coats and no topcoat.

From left to right / from pinkie to thumb:
627 Lime Green
625 emerald
623 Blue
619 Red Peony
626 Lawn Green
