31DC2013 - Catching Up on Days 4,5,6 (Green ,Blue ,Violet)

I've missed 3 days from the challenge during the holiday but luckily I had a day off work today so I was able to create 3 new looks. I know it's kind of like cheating but I want to keep up with the daily pace so that's the best solution I came up with.

First up is my green manicure: I used 2 coats of Essie Turquoise & Caicos and stamped an image from m64 (a fauxnad plate) over it using 3 of my new Kiko metallic nail polishes: #625 emerald, #626 Lawn Green, #627 Lime Green (I'll have swatches for these on my next post)

Next is the blue design: I used 1 coat of Essie No More Film on my index and middle finger and 2 coats of Essie Butler Please on the rest. Then I stamped an image from Bundle Monster 307 using Kiko #623 Blue.

For my purple design I went with the beautiful Zoya Aurora, 2 coats. I've had this polish for a really long time and this is the first time I've used it in a full manicure. It always seemed too holographic for me to wear on my long nails and whenever I tried putting it on I thought it looked ridicules. Now that I have shorter nails I think it looks just perfect!

  1. I like your nails shorter and they are still a lot longer than mine! :)
I love all the design! Zoya aurora is stunning of course, and I also really liked the blue design :)

    1. The blue one is my fave too!
They are a bit longer than yours but still very short compared to what I have. I'm starting to like it more and more. I can finally wear dark nail polish and not feel weird about it :)

  2. I love your designs! And I have wanted Aurora since I set eyes on it :)

I'm curious- what setup do you use to take photos? I've always done sunlight/shade photos but I've never really been able to make indoor photos to work for me. Do you use a spotlight?

    1. You really should get it if you like it, it's stunning! Perhaps you can buy the cheaper dupe from L.A girl :)

I take my photos under a fluorescent light that I have on my desk

    2. Do you do it against a wall or on a flat surface? I would like to get a lightbox one of these days, but I'd have to make the space for it.

    3. It's not really a wall, it's a shelf on my desk that has a white backing and 2 white "walls" on the side, I guess it's sort of a lightbox, It's a little hard to explain
