31DC2013 - Day 31: Honor nails you love

Lat day of the challenge! I can't believe I actually managed to get it done :)

Today's assignment was honoring nails we love, so it was really easy for me to decide what I wanted to do. Ever since I saw this manicure over at Colores de Carol I've been dreaming of getting Kiko 634, just so I could recreate this gorgeous look that Carolina showed on her blog.
I don't really like textured nail polishes, but this pretty baby pink imminently won me over. 2 of my friends were recently in Spain and I sent them both to search for it, but apparently it's no longer in stock :-(

Luckily enough, the Israeli brand Chic have a new Sugar Baby collection, and although this color isn't the perfect dupe, it's pretty darn close, and I just love it!!!

For this look I've used 2 coats of Chic Sugar Baby #12, and added dots with Milani Black Swift. I love how glossy the black polish looks over the textured pink. On my ring finger I have 1 coat of Milani Black Swift.

I tried finding something to resemble the cute bow on Carolina's ring finger, and today at the art supply store I found the cutest little white plastic hearts. I added a little dot with China Glaze Something Sweet and stuck in onto the black nail polish while it was still wet.

31DC2013 - Day 30: Inspired by a tutorial

This look was inspired by an awesome tutorial created by the talented MissJenFABULOS on youtube. I have tried to stick to the same colors as her, and used a thin striper brush to create the colurfol stripes.

White base: 2 coats of Life #237
Coral: butter LONDON Trout Pout
Purple: MUA Frozen Yogurt
Mint Green: MUA Pistachio Ice Cream
Black striper polish by top beauty
Black: Milani Black Swift

31DC2013 - Day 29: Inspired by the Supernatural

Today's theme is haunted house at night time! The base color is 2 coats of wow #434 - a beautiful dark blue with teal and blue glitter. On top of that I've stamped some images from Bundle Monster 2012: The haunted house is from bm 305 and so is the grass. The moon is from bm 316, and the stars are from bm 311.
The stamping polishes are: Milani White on the Spot (white), China Glaze Passion (gold) and Kiko 627 (lime green).

I really really love how this came out and I'm so happy because lately I've been very uninspired. Only 2 more days to go and I already have ideas for my final manicures. Hope they turn out ok... :)

31DC2013 - Day 28: Inspired by a Flag

I really wanted to do something cool for today but I had no inspiration so I went with a simple accent nail and used a stamp from Bundle Monster 319. I stamped it with wow #363, and the white is (as always) Milani White on the Spot

The purple on the rest of my fingers is mystique mauve by Ga-de, 2 coats

31DC2013 - Day 27: Inspired by Art

I was running really late and had no time to come up with something original so my inspiration for today was this:

I used 1 coat of Essie No More Film and stamped an image from Bundle Monster using Kiko 623 (metallic blue)

31DC2013 - Day 26: Inspired by a Pattern

I really don't like this design but it's what I came up with and I didn't feel like changing it. I guess this also qualifies for yesterday's challenge because the pattern I was inspired by is the famous Burberry tartan pattern

I used Essie Sand Tropez as a base, the white is Milani White on the Spot, the black is a black striper polish by Top Beauty and the red is Essie Too Too Hot. I topped it all with a matte topcoat from the local brand Chic. On my middle and ring finger I used Nubar Spark as the base color but I don't think you can really see it in the pictures.

31DC2013: Inspired by Fashion + Video Tutorial

my post for today is only going to be in Hebrew and I also made a video tutorial in Hebrew, I think you can still watch it and understand the steps and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

31DC2013 - Day 24: inspired by a book (Mujeres Asesinas)

For today's design I chose one of my favorite books, Mujeres Asesinas (Killer Women). The book tells the stories of real murderers, all females, from Argentina. The book later became a very successful mini-series that had 4 seasons. I first watched the series and after that I bought the book and fell inlove with it. Due to the great success of the show, 2 more books were released and I really recommend them if you can read Spanish. They are fascinating!

31DC2013 Day 23: Inspired by a Movie (The Pink Panther)

I think the theme for today is pretty obvious... I chose to use some water decals I got from this seller on ebay a while ago and created a manicure dedicated to The Pink Panther.
On my ring finger and my thumb I have 2 coats of Ga-de Pale Shell 800 and one coat of Golden Rose 109, and on the rest of my fingers I have 3 coats of Essie Muchi Muchi. I applied decals on my index and middle fingers and added dots using China Glaze Something Sweet and Milani Black Swift on my pinky.

31DC2013 - Day 22: Inspired By A Song (Morena Mía)

The challenge for the 22nd day of the 31DC2013 was creating a manicure inspired by a song. I was inspired by the song Morena Mía by Miguel Bosé and Julieta Venegas. Julieta is one of my favorite singers (perhaps my favorite one) and I really  love this song, but I'm not so sure I love the manicure.

The song talks about a man's love to a "morena" girl (brown/tanned) so I've combined different shades of brown and taupe and added some stamps from Bundle monster 311 and 303.

You can read the lyrics translated to english in this link if you want to know what the song is about, because I find it a bit hard to explain it myself :)

I've used a lot of shades for this manicure and I don't remember all of their names, but as always I took a picture of what I've used, and if you have any questions about a specific shade feel free to ask me in the comment section or send me an e-mail (link is on the top right part of the screen).

Thanks for reading and I'll see you all very soon with my manicure inspired by a movie.
