OPI Push and Shove - Swatches & Review

אז נגמרו המבחנים, חזרתי ללימודים ואני מרגישה איך הזמן מתפייד לי.... מוזר, אבל בתקופת המבחנים למרות שהיו לי שניים-שלושה מבחנים בשבוע הרגשתי שיש לי הרבה יותר זמן להקדיש לבלוג, ולמריחת לקים בכלל.

הלק Push And Shove* מקולקציית גוון סטפאני של OPI היה עליי במשך הסופ"ש ואם רק הייתי יכולה, הייתי משאירה אותו עליי גם בהמשך השבוע, אבל קצת בעייתי להיות עם לק כל כך בוהק בלימודים ובעבודה, כי לא בא לי שאנשים יבהו לי באצבעות.

למעשה, במשך כל התקופה שהוא היה עליי לא הפסקתי לבהות באצבעות שלי! הלק הזה כל כך מיוחד ומבריק, ממש כאילו הדבקתי נייר כסף לציפורניים. אני מתה על זה!!!

זה לק בגימור כרומי מיוחד שמדגיש מאוד פגמים כמו סדקים ושריטות בציפורן, ולכן מומלץ לשייף את פני הציפורן עם באפר בעדינות לפני המריחה.

So the tests are finally over, I'm back to school and I can feel how my time is fading away... It's weird but during the exams I had a lot more time for the blog and for changing my nail polishes. 

I've had Push and Shove* from OPI's Gwen Stefani collection on me during the weekend, and if I could, I'd keep it on me for much longer, but I can't wear such a nail polish for work and for school, because I don't like it when people who aren't my friends start staring at my fingers...

In fact, during the time I've had it on me, I couldn't stop staring at my nails! this is such a special shiny polish, it has a true foil effect. I love it!!!

Since this is a chrome polish, every little dent and scratch on the nail becomes really visible, so it is recommended to buff the nail before applying it. 

הלק מגיע במארז יחד עם שכבת בסיס שנקראת Lay Down That Base בגודל מוקטן. חשבתי לנסות את הלק עם שכבות בסיס שונות, כי לא הייתי בטוחה מה כל כך מיוחד בו. ניסיתי שלושה סוגים של שכבות בסיס, ועל אצבע אחת מרחתי ישירות את הלק, ללא בסיס בכלל.

        - על האצבע המורה מרחתי את לק הבסיס Lay Down That Base שהגיע במארז
        - על האמה מרחתי שכבה אחת של Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat
        - על הקמיצה מרחתי שכבה אחת של CND Stickey (הבסיס הקבוע שלי)
        - ועל הזרת מרחתי ישירות את הלק הכרומי, ללא בסיס.

כפי שניתן לראות מהתמונות, הלק נראה מעולה מעל לק הבסיס, וגם מעל ציפורן נטולת בסיס. שתי שכבות הבסיס האחרות שניסיתי גרמו ללק להיראות מזעזע ולא אחיד. ממש לא מומלץ להתחכם במקרה הזה, ופשוט כדאי לעקוב אחרי ההוראות שכתובות על האריזה.

הלק מתייבש מהר מאוד ואין צורך למרוח מעליו שכבת טופ, כי היא עלולה לפגוע בגימור המיוחד שלו. על האריזה כתוב שהלק נועד לשימוש "חד פעמי" של יום אחד. אני לא יכולה לדווח על העמידות שלו כי הוא היה עליי קצת יותר מיום, ואז נאלצתי להחליף לעיצוב עדין יותר לקראת החזרה ללימודים.

The polish comes in a special package, with a mini-sized bottle of base coat, called Lay Down That Base. I decided to try the polish over different base coats because I wanted to see what was so special about it, here's what I used:

        - Lay Down That Base (LDTB) on my index finger

        - Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat on my middle finger

        - CND Stickey on my ring finger

        - and on my pinky I didn't use anything under the chrome polish

As you can see, the polish looks terrible over the other base coats, and is at it's best over LDTB or over a naked nail.

The polish dries very quickly and there is no need to apply a topcoat over it, as it might ruin the special finish. It says on the box that the polish is only meant for a one-night use, but I couldn't test that because I had to change it for something more school appropriate the next day.

ועוד כמה מילים לגבי הבקבוק המוקטן של שכבת הבסיס:

מצד אחד זה קצת מבאס ששכבת הבסיס מגיעה בגודל מוקטן בעוד הלק בגודל מלא, אבל מצד שני - אמורים למרוח שתי שכבות מהלק ושכבה אחת של הבסיס, אז לא צריך שהבסיס יהיה בגודל מלא.

מצד שלישי - הבקבוק המוקטן לא בגודל של חצי מהבקבוק הרגיל, אלא בגודל רבע ממנו (3.75 מ"ל).

ומצד רביעי - אני לא באמת חושבת שאני אתקרב אי פעם לסיים את הבקבוק, כי הלק הזה כל כך מיוחד שאני חושבת שאשתמש בו רק באירועים מיוחדים, ובכל מקרה הוא נראה בסדר גמור גם בלי בסיס בכלל, אז אני מניחה שזה לא כזה נורא.

את הלק ניתן להשיג ברשת אפריל תמורת 65 שקלים, או אצל המוכר החביב עליכן באיביי.

And just a few more thoughts about the mini-sized topcoat:

On the one hand, it kind of sucks to have a tiny bottle of base with a full sized bottle of polish, but on the other hand - you're supposed to apply two coats of polish and only one coat of base, so it's okay that the bottle is smaller.

But then again - the size of the base isn't half the size of the polish, it's a quarter of it (3.75ml).

But when you come to think about it - I don't think I'll ever finish the bottle because this polish is really special, and I'll only use it for special events. Plus, it looks fine without any base coat so I guess it's okay.
